Lindsay is a GCRB registered genetic counsellor and has been working in genetics since 1992. She began her career working in cancer genetics at the Christie Hospital Manchester and went on to work in general genetics at St Mary’s Hospital Manchester where she also gained her MSc in genetic counselling in 1997. She moved to the North East to join the team at the Northern Genetics Service in Newcastle in 2002.
Lindsay’s main areas of clinical expertise are:
- Cardiovascular genetics
- Cancer genetics
Lindsay is one of the Lead Genetic Counsellors managing the team of genetic counsellors and genetic nurse specialists in the Newcastle service and is also Deputy Clinical Lead for their Clinical Leadership Group.
