Accessing Genomics Education
The “Genomics in the NHS” programme is a collection of elearning courses developed by NHS educational teams to support and educate healthcare professionals about genomic medicine and the benefit it will bring to patient care.
They are grouped into ‘foundation’ (developed for healthcare professionals with limited exposure to genomics in their role) and ‘specialist’ (designed for healthcare professionals working in the NHS, who support patients through genomic testing. Individuals accessing these ‘specialist’ courses are expected to have a fundamental understanding of genomics, in relation to their clinical practice).

These are short, useful summaries to support your decisions when considering genomic testing.
How to have a genomics conversation with patients
Read a summary of a meeting between the Genomic Education Partnership, patients and their relatives, which explored how best to speak with them about their experiences of genomic testing and the key insights they want healthcare professionals to know.
